I’m a creator who loves 90’s music, baking, jigsaw puzzles, and all things design. I’ve always had a passion for all things creative from cooking to knitting to wood sculptures. I’ve spent the last few years working as a structural engineer in the design and rehabilitation of buildings, after obtaining a bachelors and masters degree in civil engineering from Cornell University and Columbia University, respectively.
With my engineering background, I have unique experience with the design process, working with architects and contractors to build structures from the ground up, similar to UX designers collaborating with developers and UI designers to bring a product to life. My process involves leveraging my knowledge of complex building analyses and construction with design thinking to build the best experiences possible.
My transition into design is inspired by my desire to live a life of curiosity, discovery, and innovation. I love design because it’s a never ending path of endless inspiration and creation; and I am committed to creating unique, yet intuitive, and impactful designs.
As someone who is deeply passionate about diversity and inclusion, I am also committed to creating designs that prioritize perspectives often forgotten and overlooked.
